You Ordered Drug Testing: Now What?
As a result of participating in this lecture learners should have a working knowledge of the following topics, essential to competency in addiction medicine and identify areas where more study may be needed:
- Be able to order and interpret drug tests of various body specimens.
- Understand time detection windows for various drugs of abuse, false positives and false negatives, and what drug metabolites are formed.
- Be able to detect invalid or tampered drug tests especially pertaining to urine drug testing.
